Weekend Tours Around Sofia. Sofia - Plovdiv - Koprivshtitsa - Sofia

 

 

 

 

 Day 1 - Arriving at Sofia Airport you’ll be met and assisted by an English speaking guide or any other language as per clients’ request. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Then a sightseeing tour of Sofia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - After breakfast departure for Plovdiv,the second largest city in Bulgaria. Lunch followed by a sightseeing tour of the city featuring the Roman amphi-theatre, "St. St.Konstantin & Elena" church,the Hingliyan House,the Ethnographic museum. Dinner at a folk-style tavern in the Old Town. During the dinner you have the opportunity to taste the wines of the region.

Day 3 - After breakfast departure for Sofia via the town of
Koprivshtitsa, a living museum of the Bulgarian Revival Period’s architecture. Lunch followed by a pleasant stroll and visits to few of the museum-houses. Arrival in Sofia and accommodation. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Breakfast and time at leisure and shopping, depends on the departure time. Then transfer to Sofia airport

"Weekend in Sofia"

Day 1 - Arriving at Sofia Airport, you’ll be met, greeted and assisted by an English speaking guide /or any other language as per clients’ request/. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. A sightseeing tour of the central part of the city, featuring the House of Parliament, the Monument of the King the Liberator, The "Alexander Nevski" Cathedral, its Crypt with rare icon collection, the Monument of the Unknown soldier, "St. Sofia" 6th century basilica, the Russian church "St.Nicholas" ruins of the fortress wall that once surrounded the ancient town of Sredetz, the 4th century "St.George" Rotunda. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Breakfast at the hotel. Then a visit to the National History Museum located at the Boyana Residence, House No.1.Then a visit to Boyana Church, one of the few Bulgarian rare monuments under the protection of the UNESCO. Lunch at a local pub in Dragalevskie region followed by a visit to the Dragalevskie monastery. Then back to Sofia, time at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Breakfast. Departure for the Rila Monstery, the biggest and most beautiful monastery located on the southern slopes of the Rila Mountains. Lunch and a sightseeing tour of the monastery. When back to Sofia you’ll have dinner at a local tavern, trying traditional cuisine, and enjoying the beautiful folklore show there.

Please Note! At clients’ request instead of a day trip to the Rila Monastery they can have a day trip to Koprivshtitsa.

Day 4 - Breakfast. Then transfer to Sofia Airport. End of services.
