A Round Trip of Bulgaria, including wine-tasting in some of the oldest wine-cellars in the country

Day 1: Arrival at Sofia airport. Transfer to a 3-or 4-star hotel, on the way a brief panorama tour of Sofia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Sofia, featuring the "Alexander Nevski" Memorial Cathedral, the "St. Sofia" Church, the "St. George" Rotunda. Lunch then a visit to the unique Boyana Church and the National History Museum housed in the Boyana Residential house.Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: After breakfast departure for the Rila Monastery. A tour of the sites there, lunch, then you depart to the town of Sandanski for dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star "Sandanski" hotel.

Day 4: After breakfast a visit to the Rozhen Monastery. Then you continue to the smallest town in Bulgaria - Melnik. You will have lunch in the town of Bansko, then you go on to the town of Plovdiv, via Yundola and Velingrad. Dinner and an overnight stay at a 3-or 4-star hotel in Plovdiv.

Day 5: After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Plovdiv - the "Old Town" and the Roman Amphitheatre. After lunch a trip to the ancient Bachkovo Monastery. Back to Plovdiv dinner and overnight at a 3-or 4-star hotel.

Day 6: After breakfast departure for the main town of the famous Valley of the Roses - Kazanlak. A visit to the Museum of Roses, and to the replica of the Thracian Tomb. On your way to the town of Veliko Turnovo, you stopover for lunch at the Ethnographic complex of Etura. Then a visit to the old village of Bozhentsi, and arrival in Veliko Turnovo for dinner and overnight stay at a 3-or 4-star hotel.

Day 7: After breakfast a sightseeing tour of Veliko Turnovo, lunch in the nearby village of Arbanassi. Then followed by a trip to the Kilifarevo Monastery and a wine-tasting held in one of the oldest wine cellars in Bulgaria - Lyaskovets. After dinner there, back to Veliko Turnovo.There is an optional trip to Tsarevets, for the "Light and Sound" performance.

Day 8: After breakfast departure to the town of Lovetch. A sightseeing tour of the town. A visit to the Troyan Monastery. On your way back to Sofia, you stopover in the old museum town of Koprivshtitsa for a sightseeing tour and lunch at a local pub. Back to Sofia for dinner at a folkstyle restaurant. Then an overnight stay at a 3-or 4-star hotel.

Day 9: After breakfast, time at leisure, then lunch and a transfer to Sofia airport for your flight home.
